I love being a photographer. My passion is photography, particularly the photography of people and their environment. I enjoy the excitement of capturing a look, a glance or a smile in a still frame; images that convey a real moment in time. A photograph should be captivating, insightful and spontaneous, a truthful reflection of the subject. I place great emphasis on providing a relaxed and unobtrusive photographic experience. Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I love black and white images and really enjoy the experience of developing these images in a darkroom and watching them come to life before my eyes. Now having moved into the digital age, with all the versatility of the 'digital darkroom', I find it satisfying experimenting with saturation variations and monochrome to produce some exciting and eye catching images for my clients. Since 2002 I have been fortunate enough to be paid for my photography, which to me is 'the best job in the world'. My time spent as a photographers assistant, learning invaluable 'on the job' techniques and the many photographic and computer courses I have taken over the years has further enhanced my photographic skills and experience. I have photographed everything from brides on tractors to dogs in Santa hats. It is important to me to provide each client with a photographic selection that truly captures their treasured memories, highlights their individuality and reflects their personal story.
